Mark Costin is That Home Improvement Guy.

Mark has worked on the lending side of the home improvement loan business since 2005.   Mark works with major manufacturers, its upper management, their dealers and home improvement contractors throughout the USA.

There are not many individuals on the lending side of the business that understands the home improvement business as much as Mark.  This is because he used to do what you do today... and he did it for 15 years as the owner of a home improvement company.

From 1988-2003, Mark owned and operated a company that specialized in home improvements.  Starting at $0, the company grew to over $4 million in sales.  Many of their sales were a result of financing.

Some personal achievements include:

All-State Baseball selection as a Pitcher in 1975 at Lorain Admiral King High School

Played one year of College Basketball in 1976.

Graduated - Ohio University in 1979 (Accounting).

Graduated - Bowling Green State Univ in 1980 (MBA)

Worked in Houston, Texas from 1981-1986 as a sales/manager with Tandy Corporation.  Earned over $500,000 in the first five years of his professional career.

Once again, from 1988-2003, Mark owned and operated a company that specialized in home improvements.  Starting at $0, the company grew to over $4 million in sales.

At one time, Mark and his companies owned and operated as many as 35+ residential rental properties.

Started the Cary Cardinals Basketball Club and was Head Coach for AAU Basketball Teams from 1994-2001.  His teams won six NC AAU Basketball Championships, three runner-ups and finished in the Top 9 in the USA AAU Nationals two times.

Mark has been involved with various Chamber of Commerce organizations, Rotary Club and many others.

Since 2005, Mark has worked on the lending side of the home improvement business.  First, he worked for a national lender from 2005 until early 2008.  He then formed www.thathomeimprovementguy.com... and he continues to own and operate this business today!

Mark resides in Cary, North Carolina with his wife Angela.  He has five children, ages 30,28,25,23, and 7 years old and his first grandson, born Feb 9, 2012.
